I grew up right here in the Grand Rapids area, so this isn't just where I do business — it's home. My wife and I actually met in high school and have been together ever since, and we're raising our family in the same community that raised me.
I earned my degree at Michigan State University, where I played baseball and still hold a few university records, and went on to complete my Master's in Finance there as well. I'm a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), which reflects the technical side of the work — but the technical side has never been what I think this job is really about.
My faith is central to who I am, and it shapes how I show up for clients: with honesty, patience, and a genuine commitment to doing right by people, not just by their portfolios.
My Approach
I don't believe great financial planning comes down to finding the "perfect" product or the ideal investment mix. It comes down to the relationship. Advice only means something if I'm fully caught up on what's actually happening in your life — your family, your goals, your worries, the things that keep you up at night.
My goal is simple: I want to be the first call you make when a financial question comes up, big or small, without a second thought. I want our conversations to be easy, even enjoyable — the kind where real friendships form over the years. Simple is better than complicated, and peace of mind is the whole point."
